Christina Hamlin is a Toronto-based mixed media artist who has lived in Singapore, Paris, London, Chicago and Connecticut. Christina gained a culinary degree in Classical French Cuisine, before starting her family and switching her focus exclusively to art.
Christina takes an intuitive approach to painting and specializes in acrylics and mixed media often trying out new disciplines, such as her woven art pieces. Her love of colour, texture and the abstract form allow her to create rich yet playful contemporary artworks.
Christina’s art was initially inspired by the artistic side of her life as a chef. Additionally, Christina has travelled extensively, and draws much of her inspiration from both nature and these travels. In particular her rich, vibrant use of colour comes from the arc of nature across the seasons.
